Overview & Reviews
Only minor changes are in store for the Miata this year. Base models receive standard 16-inch alloy wheels, a strut-tower brace, larger brakes and a child seat anchoring system. Cloth replaces vinyl on the top of the LS model, and tan leather gives way to a lighter parchment-colored hide. Also, the LS receives aluminum-colored interior trim and, for the first time, black leather is available as an option. New options include a cargo net, an auto-dimming mirror with an integrated compass and outside temperature display and special bezels for the headlights and taillights.
- Tremendous fun to drive, excellent steering and handling, glass rear window with defogger.
- Small trunk, drones during freeway trips, tight cabin.

For Your Driving Pleasure - 2003 Mazda MX-5 Miata
By czyber - January 13 - 10:00 amThis is simply a great car that is loads of fun to drive. A real classic with supurb styling, high reliability, and excellent economy. Even though it is not high performance vehicle in terms of power, it certainiy makes up for it in many other ways. This car delivers plenty of driving pleasure!

Finally! - 2003 Mazda MX-5 Miata
By rwantin - September 26 - 10:00 amMy patience has been rewarded - I grew up in Michigan, and now live in So. Cal. A lifelong motorcyclist, it was here that I could finally get what I consider to be the finest 4-wheeled equivalent of a bike - a Miata! Grins from ear-to-ear, sensational handling, bulletproof reliability, and at a price that still cant be touched in this segment (sorry, I have never warmed up to the looks of the MR2). I now have a pleasant dilemma in the garage: Bike or car? This is indeed a classic roadster in the purest of (all) senses. Do yourself a favor - dismiss what anyone else thinks, and take one for a spin. You will not regret it.

Zoom Zoom - 2003 Mazda MX-5 Miata
By celica_122 - May 9 - 8:36 pmCup holders are a hassle. Small interior. But I wanted a roadster and got one. The most fun to drive of any car I have driven. Someone traded a BMW Z3 for a Miata the day I was at the dealership, so what does that tell you? This is (in my opinion) the best roadster you can buy. If I get depressed I just go for a ride in my Shinsen!

Finally bought my Shinsen! - 2003 Mazda MX-5 Miata
By SluggoJD - April 19 - 2:00 amI agonized for an entire year, and finally did it last night. The car is exactly what I expected - mainly, beautiful yet muscular styling, perfect handling, great sound system, etc. I could go on and on - but other owners already know all the adjectives.

Bliss... - 2003 Mazda MX-5 Miata
By kamea - July 31 - 2:00 amI am LOVING my new Miata. I was hesitant at first due to the small size of the cabin, and the 5.1 cubic feet of trunk space, but I didnt use my backseat anyway, so I DONT miss it. The legroom is only slightly less than my last vehicle (Celica), and it handles like a dream....tight steering. Lots of "zoom-zoom". Great car.

Love Mazda Style - 2003 Mazda MX-5 Miata
By Texas Chick - March 9 - 10:00 amThis is my second Miata. I loved the first one (a 95), but this SE is even better. Im constantly complimented on its looks and Ive been very impressed with the way it grips the curvy mountain roads here.

Built for the Sierras - 2003 Mazda MX-5 Miata
By QwikLee - February 19 - 12:20 amMy wife and I live about an hour from the Sierra Nevada mountains on the California side. Whenever we want to take a Sunday drive, we hop in the Miata and spend a wonderful day winding through the foothills and mountains with the top down. What a way to enjoy the outdoors!

fun car - 2003 Mazda MX-5 Miata
By thomas - August 5 - 10:00 amThe Miata is a refined roadster. The finish detail is good and has a sporty feel to it. The soft top is easy to use and when down doubles the driving experience. Although having reasonable power, more could always be used.
